Welcome Back to School!

Welcome Back to School

The 2015-2016 school year began with an exciting and productive first week for our students, teachers, parents and staff members. We welcomed approximately 96,000 students to our 105 schools and centers. Our cafeteria staff fed over 75,000 students daily – or approximately 375,000 for the week. Our bus drivers logged 50,000 miles each day and transported 79,000 students to and from school daily. Our 6,635 teachers welcomed students, greeted parents and, along with principals and administrators, worked long hours in advance preparing for our first week. Our maintenance, custodians, and construction teams were hard at work days, nights, and weekends getting schools ready before school started

We appreciate our students, parents, teachers, and staff who all contributed to a successful first – and second – week of school. Kudos to one and all!

Highway 9 Elementary School Site Celebrated with Ribbon Cutting

Fulton School Board Members and Interim Superintendent Ken Zeff welcomed elected officials, community members and interested citizens to the Highway 9 School Site Ribbon Cutting earlier today.  The school is located in Roswell.  Participants enjoyed a short ceremony followed by light refreshments.  The school district appreciates the support of our local community and the opportunity to show Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) dollars at work.
